Konrad graduated from Freie Universität Berlin in 1991. After working as an assistant at the small animal hospital at the university in Berlin he moved to Leipzig working at the small animal hospital of the university. He started a non-conforming residency becoming a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Neurology in 2003. In 2003 he was the co-founder of a specials referral hospital close to Munich in Germany. Since 2017 he is the managing director of the AniCura Tierklinik Haar. He is the chair of the AG Neurologie of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Kleintiermedizin. He ist a speaker of national and international meetings and educational courses, mainly dealing with neurology and mir imaging.
