Elsa Beltran
Elsa Beltran, Ldo Vet, DipECVN, MRCVS graduated from University Cardenal Herrera CEU in Valencia in 2002
Elsa spent two years in general practice. In 2004 she started a general internship at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital in the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona.
In 2006, Elsa started a neurology internship at the Animal Health Trust (AHT). In 2007, she enrolled the residency programme in Neurology/Neurosurgery at the same institution. She obtained the Diploma of the European College of Veterinary Neurology (ECVN) in 2011 and became a Senior Clinician in Neurology/Neurosurgery at the AHT.
Since October 2015 she is the chairperson of the ECVN Education Committee and member of the ECVN Executive Committee. She has been recognised as a specialist in Veterinary Neurology by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons since March 2013. Shee is also one of the founders of Vet Meet GmbH, the organiser of MRI Web Meetings.
Elsa joined the Royal Veterinary College, University of London, in October 2014 and she is now Lecturer in Neurology and Neurosurgery. She is interest in all aspects of education in veterinary neurology and neurosurgery, but has a particular interest in progressing our understanding of post-traumatic epilepsy and other neurological sequels in dogs after traumatic brain injury. Elsa is also interested in the investigation of inherited neurological disorders and all aspects of neuro-ophthalmology and neurosurgery.
Elsa is author of papers published in international peer reviewed journals and she is speaker of national and international continuing education courses and conferences in Veterinary Neurology.
