Jason Soukup

Jason W. Soukup, DVM, DAVDC, Founding Fellow – AVDC Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Dr. Soukup is a clinical associate professor in dentistry and oral surgery at the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in Madison, WI. He received his DVM from Texas A&M University in 2002. After completing an internship he spent three years in general practice before pursuing advanced training in dentistry and oral surgery at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He became board-certified in dentistry and oral surgery by the American Veterinary Dental College in 2009 and a Founding Fellow-AVDC Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2018. He serves as section head of the Dentistry and Oromaxillofacial Surgery service at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His clinical and research interests are in the areas of dental and maxillofacial biomechanics and oral surgical oncology. He is also currently pursuing a PhD in biomechanics and enjoys running in his free time.
