Arianna Maiolini, DVN, PhD, DECVN

Arianna graduated from Alma Mater Studiorum, University of Bologna, Italy in 2008 and shortly after she moved to Germany to enroll in a PhD programme at the Center for Systems Neuroscience Hannover, supervised by Prof. Dr. Andrea Tipold. In 2012 she started her residency programme in Neurology at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover, Germany. She achieved the Diploma of the European College of Veterinary Neurology (ECVN) in 2015. In 2016 she moved to Switzerland to become a Senior Clinician and Lecturer in Neurology/Neurosurgery at the Vetsuisse Faculty of the University of Bern. Although she enjoys many aspects of clinical neurology and its education, her main field of interest is the pathophysiology of inflammatory diseases of the central nervous system. She is author and co-author of papers published in international peer reviewed journals with particular focus in neuroimmunology. She is a speaker of national and international continuing education courses and conferences in Veterinary Neurology.
