Michi graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna, Austria in 1994. In 1996 she finished her thesis about „Diagnostic imaging of the urogenital tract in chelonians“ and received her doctor’s degree. She became an assistant at the Clinic of Diagnostic Imaging in 1996 and an Assistant Professor in 2007. Her main interest is in comparative imaging in reptiles and birds or other exotic species. She has contributed as author or coauthor to numerous publications and given talks in national and international meetings focusing preferably on various exotic species (https://vetdoc.vetmeduni.ac.at). She is a certified hip and elbow dysplasia consultant as well. Her free time is dedicated to her two Border Collies and dog sports, photography, travelling, gardening and cooking.
