Dr Lynn Gaynor is a Principal Physicist at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin and providing physics support to the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland Hospital Group. Lynn is a registered Radiation Protection Advisor and Medical Physics Expert and also a Laser Protection Advisor. She has more than nineteen years post graduate experience as a physicist and has been working as a medical physicist for the past fourteen years, firstly in the Mater Misericordia University Hospital, subsequently as a Senior Physicist in St Luke’s Hospital and currently as a Principal Physicist in Beaumont Hospital. Lynn’s experience is in the areas of radiation protection, diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine, phototherapy, medical lasers and education and development in these areas. She is the Chief Physics Examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (Faculty of Radiology) and lectures on a variety of programmes at RCSI and at University College Dublin.
