Alberta De Stefani
Dr Alberta De Stefani DipECVN MRCVS,
graduated as a Veterinary Surgeon in 2001 from the University of Padua, Italy. Following a short period in general practice Alberta started a one-year general internship at the Animal Health Trust. In 2003 Alberta started a residency program in Neurology and Neurosurgery that concluded in 2007 when she became a European Specialist in Neurology and Neurosurgery. In 2006 Alberta also successfully concluded a clinical PhD on treatment and prognosis of canine primary brain tumours. Since 2007 Alberta has been working as a Senior Clinical Neurologist in private referral institutions. In 2018 Alberta joined the Royal Veterinary College, University of London as Senior Lecturer in Neurology and Neurosurgery. Alberta main area of interest is progressing our understanding of seizures and seizure related disorders in dogs. Alberta is also interested in the investigation and management of traumatic spinal cord injuries and congenital spinal malformations in small animals. Away from work Alberta’s greatest passions are trail running, yoga and reading!
