Ophthalmic complications of selected dental diseases and treatments

Description

At the end of this lecture, the attendees will be able to appropriately address the eyelids, eye and orbit in maxillofacial trauma patients and will consider ophthalmic and periorbital complications of dental diseases (such as retrobulbar abscess or nasolacrimal duct damage) and dental treatments (including corneal ulceration due to dessication or irritation, blindness from mouth gag use and eye globe penetration due to regional nerve blocks or instrument slippage).
