Computer-based surgical planning and 3D printing for oral tumors

Description

As human and veterinary medicine inevitably move toward medical and surgical care that is more patient-specific, the use of computer-aided surgery for planning and execution will become more mainstream. The goal of this presentation is to provide an overview of the principal elements of computer-aided surgical planning for oral tumors: imaging, segmentation and computer modeling, virtual surgery, and 3D printing.

Topics

Appropriate imaging techniques for tumor visualization and modeling, virtual surgical planning, implementation of 3D printing in tumor visualization and surgical planning
