Anaesthesia and postoperative management for Brachycephalic patients

Description

The presentation will discuss the approach to anaesthesia of brachycephalic dogs, both in the elective and emergency setting. Participants are expected to understand how to approach this type of patient, from preanaesthetic assessment and stabilisation, to rapid securing of the airways and how to achieve a smooth recovery from anaesthesia. Preoperative monitoring, use of sedation, and oxygen supplementation will also be discussed.
