Dr. Palm graduated from the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and then completed a rotating internship followed by residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine. She is board certified in Small Animal Internal Medicine. She practiced as a small animal internist for one year in a specialty practice and then returned to UC Davis to complete a 2-year fellowship in Urinary Medicine, including advanced training in nephrology, hemodialysis/extracorporeal medicine and endourology. Since 2011 she has been a faculty member at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and is currently a Professor of Small Animal Internal Medicine. She is interested in all aspects of renal and urinary medicine, but her main focuses are acute kidney injury (including feline ureteral and urethral obstruction), extracorporeal therapies (including hemodialysis and apheresis) and interventional endourology. In 2020, Dr. Palm completed a 2-year Master’s Program in Clinical Translational Research at the UC Davis School of Medicine.
