Alex Gallagher

DVM, MS, DACVIM (SAIM); Clinical Associate Professor

is a 2001 graduate of the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. He completed a rotating internship at the Virginia-Maryland regional College of Veterinary Medicine before spending two years in private practice. After an internal medicine internship at Affiliated Veterinary Specialists in Maitland, FL, Dr. Gallagher completed a residency in small animal internal medicine at the Virginia-Maryland regional College of Veterinary Medicine, earned a Master’s degree in Biomedical and Veterinary Sciences, and became board-certified in 2008. He is currently a clinical assistant professor of small animal medicine at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine and serves as president of the Veterinary Interventional Radiology and Interventional Endoscopy Society. Dr. Gallagher’s interests include gastroenterology, endocrinology, and image-guided interventions.
