Lara Matiasek

Lara Matiasek, Dr med vet, Dip ECVN, EBVS®-European Specialist in Veterinary Neurology, MRCVS graduated in 1999. She achieved her doctoral degree in peripheral nerve research and performed an Internship at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, LMU Munich. Dr Matiasek underwent a Neurology/ Neurosurgery Residency at the AHT, Newmarket, UK. She is ECVN diplomate since 2007 and worked as AHT Senior Neurologist/ Neurosurgeon for three years. Moving back to Munich, she was employed as Senior Neurologist, Veterinary Teaching Hospital (2011-2014) and Senior Neurologist/ Neurosurgeon, Tierklinik Haar (2014-2017). Marco Baron Toaldo

Marco Baron Toaldo, DVM PhD Dipl. ECVIM-CA (cardiology), graduated at the University of Bologna in 2007. He gained the title of PhD in 2011 and he concluded a post-doc in animal models of human hepatic carcinoma one year later. In 2012 he started a five-years non-conforming residency at ECVIM-CA (cardiology) at the Vetsuisse Faculty of Zurich, concluding the training program in September 2016. At present he is employed as assistant professor at the University of Bologna, focusing on clinical activity and research in small animal cardiology.

Pieter Nelissen

Pieter Nelissen, DVM, Cert SAS, Dip ECVS, MRCVS, graduated at the University of Ghent in 2001. After an rotating Internship and a few years in private practice he started his surgery residency at Dick White Referrals in 2008. Pieter gained his diplomate status in 2012 and has since been working as a soft tissue surgeon. At present he is employed as the head of soft tissue surgery at Tierklinik Haar. He is the author of many publications and book chapters and has presented at multiple national and international conferences.

In 2008 he enrolled in a PhD program at the Department of Diagnostic Imaging, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Bologna University. In 2011 he successfully concluded his PhD program.
